То, как мы относимся к уязвимым существам — будь то люди или животные — говорит о том, кто мы есть. Город, который заботится о своих бездомных животных — это город, которому не всё равно, и точка.
DiliDog City is a community-based initiative that aims to establish a humane, effective, and sustainable system for managing Dilijan’s stray dog population. The project combines veterinary interventions, public education, and long-term monitoring to improve animal welfare, increase public safety, and promote responsible coexistence between people and animals.
The project is built around two complementary components:
1. The veterinary component focuses on sterilization, vaccination, deworming, identification, and monitoring of street dogs in cooperation with professional veterinarians and partner organizations. These activities help stabilize the dog population, improve animal health, and reduce risks for the community.
2. The community awareness component promotes responsible attitudes toward animals through educational campaigns, expert interviews, social media content, and practical guidance. It addresses common misconceptions about street dogs, explains the importance of sterilization, encourages responsible pet ownership, and raises awareness about adoption and fostering.
By combining practical interventions with education, DiliDog City contributes to a healthier urban environment where both people and animals can thrive.
