Next Gen

Dilijan’s future belongs to the teenagers and young adults growing up here right now. NextGen is young people identifying problems, designing solutions, and leading implementation, with mentorship, funding, and organizational support backing them up.

We provide three things

Skills

Training in project management, leadership, and civic engagement.

Resources

Micro-grants up to 600,000 AMD to fund their ideas.

Mentorship

Continuous guidance from experienced professionals.
Then we get out of the way and let them lead.

2025 Projects

Shamakhyan District Courtyard Playground

A group of local teens looked at an abandoned courtyard and saw possibility. They planned the renovation, organized volunteers, cleaned debris, painted walls, and rebuilt equipment. Adults provided support and materials, but the teens led every step. Now kids play there daily.

QR Dilijan

Another youth team noticed tourists, and even locals, walking past landmarks without knowing their stories. They researched the sites, created informative content, got Municipality approval, and installed QR codes throughout the city. Now thousands of visitors access Dilijan's history and culture with a simple scan.

2026 Projects

Digital Hub for History and Culture

Digital Hub of History and Culture is a youth-led initiative that creates a modern learning space where young people explore, preserve, and promote cultural and historical heritage. Through digital technologies, interactive workshops, and community activities, the project encourages collaboration, strengthens local identity, and inspires young people to become active contributors to their community.

Girls Dance, Dilijan Blooms

A cultural initiative that promotes Armenian traditional dance while encouraging girls' active participation in community life. The project supported the creation of new stage costumes inspired by Tavush carpet ornaments, strengthening cultural identity and creating opportunities for young performers to represent Dilijan at local and national events.

Creative Hands

An intergenerational arts initiative that brings together children and parents through traditional Armenian crafts. By learning carpet weaving and other artistic techniques, participants develop creative skills while preserving local craftsmanship, strengthening family connections, and promoting cultural heritage.

AgroNext Dilijan

An educational initiative that introduces young people to modern agriculture, sustainable farming, and agribusiness. Through interactive camps, field visits, practical workshops, and meetings with successful entrepreneurs, participants discover innovative agricultural practices and explore agriculture as a modern, knowledge-based, and entrepreneurial career path
