For the second year in a row, the Green Rock Foundation returned to TUMO Center Dilijan with an initiative that has quickly become close to the team’s heart, donating books to the local community.

The donation took place on February 27, as part of International Book Giving Day, and this year’s collection was presented on behalf of the entire Green Rock family. What made the initiative especially meaningful was how the book list was created. Instead of selecting titles independently, the Foundation worked together with the community, gathering suggestions and requests directly from library visitors. The goal was simple, to make sure every book added to the shelves would be useful, relevant, and genuinely appreciated.

Along with the books, the Foundation also included a small creative detail that connected the event to the wider community. Each book came with a custom bookmark featuring artwork created by children who participated in the Colors of Dilijan contest organized by the Green Rock Foundation. The drawings added a personal and joyful touch to the donation, bringing together creativity, education, and community participation.

What began as a modest idea is gradually becoming a warm tradition. Returning to TUMO Dilijan each year with new books has created a simple but meaningful way to support learning, creativity, and the shared culture of reading in the town.

And if the smiles of the young readers are any indication, this tradition is one that Dilijan is happy to see continue.
