On a warm summer evening, Green Rock Foundation brought the community together for an open-air screening of 13 Kilometers from the Tunnel, a powerful film adaptation of Ruben Yesayan’s book of the same name. The event was designed to introduce audiences to contemporary Armenian cinema while creating space for genuine reflection and dialogue.

Before the film began, attendees had the opportunity to sit down with author Ruben Yesayan himself for an intimate, open conversation exploring the story behind the work, the inspiration that shaped it, and the questions it continues to raise.

With 180 participants gathered under the evening sky, the screening unfolded in a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere. Afterward, the discussion came alive as viewers dug into the film’s themes and message, sharing perspectives and insights that extended the story well beyond the screen.

We’re deeply grateful to everyone who joined us and to our partners for helping bring this meaningful evening to life.
